Ibu Yulita opened her guesthouse in March 2005 as a response to the evergrowing demand for accommodation by donor employees following the December 2004 tsunami. She takes care of her guests and makes them feel like part of the family, as most of them stay for long durations.A true entrepreneur, she has been expanding her accommodation from a few rooms to almost forty... and still growing. A very active woman, besides running her own household of a few children and a guesthouse, she also teaches at a local university.

We are proud to be the first independent traveller service in the region, and also to be a bridge between the West, and the local guesthouses and tour operators in Aceh. We have been heavily involved in trying to rebuild tourism in Aceh since the 2004 tsunami, and encourage anyone considering it to come visit us, in order to see the beauty of Aceh and the friendliness and powerful spirit of the Acehnese people.
